Attorney Deaina Brown
Counselor, Motivator, Innovator and Friend are the adjectives that best describe Attorney Deaina M. Brown. As a Senior Attorney with the Women's Trial Group, Attorney Brown has always made it her purpose to assist families in the many legal battles that arise and can lead to the breakdown of the family structure. As an attorney who advocates for the Unity of the Family through the areas of Personal Injury and Wrongful Death, she recognizes that a united family is at the core of any great society.
As a Counselor, Deaina has provided legal guidance for clients in the areas of Personal Injury and Wrongful Death, both under the supervision of more experienced attorneys and as a licensed attorney. She began her career as a Certified Legal Intern in the University of Florida Levin College of Law Gator Team Child Legal Clinic. Deaina has relentlessly fought many battles on behalf of her clients. She continues to strive to keep families together by applying her skills in the areas of Criminal, Family and Immigration Law, in addition to her Personal Injury work.
As a Motivator, Deaina has traveled and spoken in multiple cities in the United States, as well as a couple countries in Africa. During her travels to other countries she has spent time studying the different legal systems and encouraging individuals to achieve their personal goals. She has spoken in many classrooms educating the youth on the proper procedures that need to be taken in order for them to recognize the dreams of being productive citizens of today’s society.
As an Innovator, Deaina opened her firm as a Solo Practitioner before joining the Women's Trial Group in 2008 and will be pursuing other business ventures in the near future. Deaina enjoys writing and reciting poetry that allows others to focus on progression and the innovation that lies within them as well. Deaina is always developing new and creative ways to apply the law in areas that matter most to her clientele.
As a Friend, Deaina has spearheaded and worked with many programs that allow youth to constructively express their frustrations with the legal system and brainstorm ways to effect change in the minds of leaders. Deaina has been a mentor to many young people and enjoys sharing the realities of life beyond high school and college with these leaders of tomorrow. Deaina strives to bridge the gap between the Young and the Old in her community.
At the age of 16, Deaina attended Florida State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Criminology with a Concentration in Juvenile Justice. At the time of her graduation she was invited and accepted the invitation to become a member of the Seminole Torchbearers, a leadership organization at Florida State University. She then went on to the University of Florida Levin College of Law where she received her Juris Doctor with a focus in International Law and Juvenile Law. After becoming a licensed attorney, Deaina then returned to Loyola University, Chicago to receive her LL.M. in Child and Family Law with a focus in International Relations, at this time she is all but Thesis.
Deaina serves on the sub-committee for the Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Fred Lewis’ Justice Teaching Program. She also serves as co-chair for the Paul C. Perkins Bar Association Street Law Project. Deaina enjoys being a judge with the Osceola Teen Court Program. Deaina is an active member of the Florida Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the Central Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Caribbean Bar Association and the Paul C. Perkins Bar Association. She resides in Orlando, FL.
