Evita Cheaib

Evita Cheaib has always wanted to surround herself with people who have a vision for justice, unity, and the drive to make a difference. She believes she has found it at the Women’s Trial Group.

The daughter of Lebanese emigrants, Evita was raised in both Toledo, Ohio and Clearwater, Florida. She received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of South Florida. Never one to stay stagnant, Evita stayed involved in many student organizations such as: SIPJ (Students for International Peace and Justice), ACS (Alliance of Concerned Students), College Democrats, AASAL (Arab American Student Alliance and Leadership), and Bulls for Kerry. She was also the Founder and President of the only politically active Arab organization on campus, OASIS (Organization of Arab Students in Solidarity).

While in college, Ms. Cheaib actively campaigned for many Democratic candidates in Pinellas and Hillsborough County. She worked on the 2004 John Kerry Presidential Campaign; focusing on the I-4 Corridor which spans from the Tampa Bay area to Orlando. She attended the Democratic National Convention in Boston that same year. She was also a member of the Hillsborough Country Executive Democratic Committee and has worked under many prominent politicians, such as Former United States Senator Bob Graham. Following her graduation, Ms. Cheaib worked as a Social Worker in Pinellas County until moving to Orlando to attend Law School. Her goal is to continue law school part-time while working at the Women’s Trial Group. After law school, she hopes to practice Personal Injury and Wrongful Death and hopes to follow in the footsteps of the firm’s founder and Senior Attorney, Ms. Natalie Jackson. She resides in Downtown Orlando with her bangle cat, SuperNova.
