Betty Boisrond

 

Born of Haitian descent, Betty Boisrond was raised in Miami, Florida. She received her B.A. in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida. She has always shown perseverance, loyalty, and dedication in her life’s work. She believes in the importance of furthering her education as a single parent by maintaining full-time employment as a law enforcement officer, volunteering her services to schools and afterschool programs while completing her undergraduate studies. She has become a mentor and role model for many young women.

Betty plans to attend law school in the near future; however, the devotion that she has for her child is evident when she decided to temporarily set aside her dreams of attending law school to ensure that her child would not be adversely affected by the decision. For the time being, she has found solace in becoming part of the Women's Trial Group and in learning behind the scenes.
